First patients included in the STROKESTOP 2 study

In April the first patients were included in the STROKESTOP 2 study. The aim of the study is to prevent stroke by screening for silent Atrial Fibrillation with Zenicor thumb-ECG and to initiate stroke preventive treatment. The study will include all 75 and 76 year old citizens in Stockholm.

The study will be concluded during 2017 and will serve as an important base for the decision on how a national screening program for atrial fibrillation could be implemented.
