Zenicor signs agreement with two University Hospitals in the UK

Zenicor Medical Systems AB has signed an agreement with two university hospitals in Northamptonshire, UK, for the delivery of the Zenicor Solution with Zenicor One (thumb ECG) for arrhythmia investigations. The order value is GBP 60,000, equivalent to approximately SEK 800,000, marking an important step in Zenicor’s continued expansion in the UK market.

University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN), including Kettering General Hospital and Northampton General Hospital, is implementing the Zenicor Solution with Zenicor One as the primary choice for arrhythmia investigations following a successful pilot study. The study demonstrated shorter waiting times, increased resource efficiency, and an improved patient experience, resulting in significant cost savings and reduced time to diagnosis.

By incorporating Zenicor One in our investigation of arrhythmias in patients with palpitations, we have been able to reduce the need for 7-day Holter monitoring and save time. Additionally, patients prefer Zenicor One over wearing a monitor for a week. It is now the first choice for investigating patients who would previously have received an ILR (Implantable Loop Recorder) but are now first assessed with Zenicor One,” says Leanne Kelly, Principal Cardiac Physiologist and Head of Arrhythmia Investigations at University Hospitals of Northamptonshire.

These two university hospitals in Northamptonshire are responsible for the care of approximately one million residents in the region, making this agreement a representative example of the broader adoption of Zenicor One in similar healthcare environments. It also contributes to the goal of offering these services to the entire UK population of 56 million people.

This agreement marks an important step in Zenicor’s growth in the UK. The positive results clearly demonstrate the value that Zenicor One brings in terms of more efficient diagnostics and cost savings for arrhythmia investigations. We look forward to leveraging these results and this reference to support further growth and increased adoption within the UK healthcare system,” says Kaisa Rahkala, General Manager at Zenicor Ltd in the UK.
